Lassi Tuovi, who was the head coach of Strasbourg, was dismissed from his position, reports the basketball website BeBasket.

Head coach of the Finnish men’s national basketball team Lassi Tuovi35, will not continue as head coach of French side Strasbourg, says the website BeBasket (you will switch to another service).
According to the basketball website, Tuovi has been fired and Luca Banchi replaces the Finn as the main commander.
Strasbourg is in last place in the French league. The team won only one of their eight matches during the early season.
Tuovi worked as Strasbourg’s assistant coach in 2016–2017 and 2018–2020. He became head coach in January 2020.
Tuovi led Strasbourg as the youngest head coach in the club’s history. In his first full season in the French league, he achieved bronze and led the club in the Champions League all the way to the semi-finals.
With his good performances, Tuovi was nominated for the French League coach of the year in 2021.
Tuovi took command of the Finnish national team in the summer. He had previously worked as Susijeng’s assistant coach.
