Tlc Mimit March 26th table with Tim and outsourced call

(Finance) – We are moving towards a reindustrialization process of the Barry Callebaut production plant in Intraa hamlet of the municipality of Verbania. The Swiss chocolate multinational has in fact accepted the requests of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, giving the willingness to keep production levels unchanged until March 31, 2025, and then gradually decrease them until June 30, thus offering more time to search for a new buyer. We read it in a note from Mimit.

The company also said it was willing to extend the times until August 31stin the event that a new buyer presents itself, to encourage reindustrialization processes. This is what emerged from the second update meetingafter the one of October 2nd, concerning the Barry Callebaut dispute, following the company’s decision to close the historic Piedmontese production plant.

The meeting, which took place at Palazzo Piacentini, was chaired by Mimit undersecretary with responsibility for corporate crises, Fausta Bergamotto. Present, in addition to the representatives of the company and the trade unions, were the vice-president of the Piedmont Region with responsibility for labour, Elena Chiorinothe mayor of Verbania, Giandomenico Albertella, the president of the province, Alessandro Lanaand the deputy vice prefect, Gerardo Corvatta. The Advisor identified by the company will now have the task of structuring the search for a new buyer who also guarantees employment protection. The table now moves to the regional level and the parties will be updated promptly.
