Personnel from the Göta engineering regiment, Ing 2, in Eksjö used a robot to neutralize the tanks on the bus, the rescue service’s command operator told TT. With the help of a water jet, holes are shot in the gas tanks.
The bus exploded twice. In connection with the first explosion, at 4 pm on Monday afternoon, two cars standing nearby were damaged.
Due to the continued risk of explosion, people who were in nearby buildings were asked to stay indoors. At 02.30 at night, the blockades were lifted. The cause of the explosion is unknown.
