Barcelona to the CL final – for the third year in a row

Barcelona stepped into the semi-final return against Chelsea with 1-0 behind. When the teams were now pitted against each other at Camp Nou on Thursday evening, it was the Spanish giants who came out the hardest.

The home team even scored a goal after just under eight minutes but it was disallowed due to a hand situation.

Despite Barcelona’s dominance, it took some time before the first goal of the game came, but with half an hour to play, Caroline Graham Hansen stepped forward and scored the lead goal for Barcelona. Just a few minutes later came Chelsea’s first end of the match, but it was enough to equalize and after barely having to borrow the ball, the away team was now back in the match.

After Guro Reiten’s 1-1 goal, Chelsea began to feel increasingly dangerous. However, more chances and more finishes were not enough to score another goal, but the final score was 1–1 and Barcelona are now through to the final with 2–1 on aggregate.

Who will be Barcelona’s final opponents will be decided on Monday when the return between Arsenal and Wolfsburg is played. There it was 2-2 in the first meeting.

The final will be played on June 3 in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
