BankID stops working on some iPhones

Are you someone who replaces your mobile as soon as a newer model comes out? Or have you had your gama faithful servant for a couple of years now?

If you are a person of the latter kind, you will soon notice that it may be time to start looking at a new handset.

News24 has previously written about the fact that it will not be possible to use BankID on some Huawei mobile phones. It applies to all mobiles from the brand that are newer than the Huawei P30 series, which was released in 2019.

Then BankID stops working for some mobile users

BankID stops working on older iPhone models

But it is not only Huawei that has mobile models that do not work together with BankID.

Even the iPhone will be affected shortly. It applies to iPhone 8 and older, writes The Express. The reason for that is that it is not possible to download the latest iOS update on these mobiles, which causes BankID to stop working.

There is no information about exactly when BankID will not be able to be used on older iPhones.

But as of May this year, iOS 13 is required to use it. It is also required that you have NFC in your phone, which is available in iPhone 7 and later.
