(Finance) – Change at the top for the Popular Bank of Lajatico, a reference institute in the province of Pisa, which had been working on a generational turnover project for some time. The CEO Daniel Salvadori, after 45 years in the company, of which 23 as chief executive (first as GM, then as CEO) ends his mandate today, remaining a member of the board of directors. With effect from 1 July 2023, Barbara Ciabatti assumes the role of General Manager.
This choice “responds to the desire to ensure continuity while promoting internal growth of deserving resourceswith the aim of continuing along the path of development and affirmation of the bank”, reads a note.
Ciabatti has been with Banca Popolare di Lajatico since 1991; he did numerous and growing positions mainly in the commercial sector and in the organization and management of territorial networks. For about 3 years, he has progressively assumed responsibilities in the management of the centralized functions by actively collaborating and supporting the activity of the CEO and operating as deputy general manager.
