(Finance) – Sensitivity to the world of ESG and the choice to guide the Italian financial market towards a more sustainable approach to investments reward General Bank which has been internationally recognized by the English magazine CFI – Capital Finance International as the “Best Sustainable Private Bank Italy 2022” as part of its annual awards.
The award jury, made up of financial analysts and journalists, appreciated thecommitment to the world of ESG investmentsthat today represent around 15% of managed assetsthanks to the platform that brings customers’ social objectives into portfolios, returning the value relating to performance in terms of sustainability through a particular algorithm so as to tangibly verify its impact on the planet.
In addition to the offer relating to sustainable products, the Bank led by CEO Gian Maria Mossa she was praised for putting together different skills in order to respond to the needs of different stakeholders and by excluding companies that violate the United Nations Global Compact from its investment universeoperating according to a business model that creates shared value, focused on service quality, innovation and sustainability.
“The award received by CFI confirms Banca Generali’s positioning among the banks most attentive to sustainability in Europe and follows the trajectory already confirmed by the other most important international rating agencies such as Sustainalytics, Standard Ethics and MSCI. An award that therefore confirms what has already been declared by MSCI, which raised Banca del Leone’s rating from BBB to A in Novemberand the inclusion in the MIB ESG index of Borsa Italiana and Euronext in October 2021. Furthermore, recently confirmed is the adhesion to the “Women in the bank” Charter of the Italian Banking Association (ABI) which promotes, within the sector banking and finance, the enhancement of gender diversity.
