NATO announced on Tuesday January 14 the launch of operation “Baltic Sentry” with the aim of protecting the submarine cables of the Baltic Sea on which alleged sabotage continues to increase. Until next spring, ten ships will permanently patrol the area. Three Swedish ships will, in particular, participate in the operations – a first for Stockholm which has just joined the Atlantic Alliance.
