The new travel center, with both a cafe and office space, is built with sustainability in focus.
– The brick is recycled and the building has a sedum roof, says Alexander Hellberg, construction project manager at Håbo municipality.
Many functions
Inside the building are offices for UL and for taxis. There is also a cafe here. Adjacent to the travel center is the railway station, the bus square, taxis and the car park.
Plans for a new travel center have been in the works since 2018, but have taken time.
– It is because of the planning, that questions were asked and because a needs analysis was done, says Alexander Hellberg.
