Argentina is the best represented nation, with 4 players (Lionel Messi, Lautaro Martinez, Emiliano Martinez, Julian Alvarez) tied with France (Mbappé, Kolo Muani, Griezmann, Benzema). There are no less than 18 different nationalities represented, and 4 continents: Europe, South America, Africa and Asia (with Kim Min-Jae).

Lionel Messi should, according to the Catalan media and Fabrizio Romano, receive his 8th Ballon d’Or this evening. According to indiscretions, the podium should be completed by Erling Haaland, very prolific and winner of the Champions League this year, and Kylian Mbappé, unfortunate finalist of the World Cup. The rest of the ranking is not yet known.
12:00 – The ceremony program
From 5:15 p.m. and until 7 p.m., the men’s Ballon d’Or rankings will be revealed player by player, from 30th to 11th place in the reverse order of the ranking. Every five minutes, a new player and his ranking will be revealed. From 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., players and various football personalities will enter the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. Finally, from 8:45 p.m., the ceremony will begin with the presentation of the men’s and women’s Golden Balls, but also the Kopa Trophy, the Yachine Trophy, the Gerd Müller Trophy, the Socrates Prize and the Club of the Year.
