Ballistics will be available at launch on all platforms that support Fortnite and in all regions except South Korea and Russia. We are working to make Ballistic accessible in both regions and will let you know if there is any development on the subject.
In Ballistics, players are divided into two teams at the start of the match: attackers and defenders. Attackers aim to install a reality-warping Rupture Point Device in one of two locations on the map, while defenders do their best to prevent the device from being installed and detonating.
There are no respawns in Ballistic, the round ends when the Rupture Point Device explodes or when either team is completely eliminated. After 6 rounds, players switch sides, meaning attackers become defenders and defenders become attackers. The game is over when one team wins a total of 7 rounds!
You’ll start the game with a Ranger Pistol and 800 Credits. In Ballistics, Credits can be earned by hunting players and placing the Rupture Point Device. You can increase your chances of success by purchasing additional items and weapons at the beginning of each round in a match with the Credits you earn.
If you survive a round, all your equipment and shields carry over to the next round, except for the disposable items you use. You can leave guns, smoke grenades and flash grenades for your teammates at any time and collect them from hunted players.
The Rupture Point Device explodes 45 seconds after being deployed. Once the device is successfully defended, you must move away from the device; if you are within the explosion radius of the device when it explodes, you risk being hunted. If you get hunted by the explosion, you will lose all equipment you have.
During a Ballistics match, you can check the scoreboard to check how you and your teammates are doing and see what weapons and items your teammates are using.
At the beginning of each Ballistics match, players on teams choose one of five Stretch Devices that only they can pick up and use throughout the match.
Players can purchase the device of their choice and keep two of their Flex Devices in their bag per round. These devices cannot be dropped or collected from other players. Flex Devices can significantly affect the outcome of the round when used correctly.
The unranked game offers a more relaxed Ballistic experience if you just want to have fun with friends or try out the mod. It’s a great way to hone your aiming skills and try Flexibles. If a player leaves a Unranked match, another player takes his place. Once an Unranked match ends, players can remain on the same server if they wish. “
