The first edition of the Jai Alai Winter Series has made it clear that the basket is not dead, although it was extinguished in the United States and it was a hard blow. She has returned to her roots, to Euskadi with total success. The support of ETB is being fundamental. In the outskirts of the fronton there have been long queues to enter the Jai Alai de Gernika and the stands were bursting with a spectacular atmosphere to witness live the victory for the couple Erkiaga and Zabala (7-15 and 12-15).
The start of the blue Erkiaga and Zabala has been overwhelming with a 0-4 in favor helped by the many mistakes of Goikoetxea-Aimar. The score has gone to a surprising 1-9. In the final stretch of the set the colorados have improved and made up the result until the final 7-15. In the second set the first goal, however, was from the Colorados Goikoetxea and Aimar (1-0) and the goals were shared between them (3-3). Goikoetxea has begun to dominate in his area and the Colorados have shown their best face (7-7).
Erkiaga has delighted the fans with a spectacular two walls from number seven, leaving the match almost sentenced (9-12). The Blues were not the ones in the first set, but they managed to stay ahead on the scoreboard until the end of the match (12-15).
