Baldur’s Gate 3 presents the new classes in a video series, starts directly with the best and worst

With Patch 8, Larian brings 12 new subclasses to Baldur’s Gate 3. In a video series, the creators present their new content and explain what specializations can do. In the first video you can see the classes that will really knock in.

What kind of new classes are these?

  • With the upcoming Patch 8 from Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian lets it really rip again: a total of 12 new subclases come into play.
  • Each of the playable classes in Baldur ‘Gate 3 gets a new sub -class, means: a new “orientation” that determines playing styles and skills.
  • In addition, patch 8 cross play comes into play so that you can play with friends on PC, PS5 and Xbox.
  • Larian now shows that: With a “guide” series, the developers now want to prepare you for the new classes. Four classes are presented (probably) per video so that you can learn more about their advantages, skills and roles.

The new subclasses offer you opportunities to play your character in new orientations. The first video shows:

  • The School of Magic Bann (“College of Glamor”) for the Bard, a support specialization on group control
  • The circle of the stars (“Circle of Stars”) for the druids, with which you can take a star constellation in your “animal” form, in which you can continue to conjure up and get various options for reinforcement
  • The giant’s path (“Path of Giants”) for Barbarians, who focuses on throwing opponents and other objects – and simply makes you bigger
  • And the domain of death (“Death Domain”) for clerics, quasi the OG necromante with skills related to death and corpse.
  • Unfortunately, the developers did not include a release date for patch 8, but the assumptions are all somewhere between February and March.

The death clerician is the leader-the glamor bard is rather not that

With the clerician, Larian has already presented the sub-class, which potentially the strongest in the new patch could be perhaps throughout the game. Even though clerics are extremely unpopular.

The focus is particularly on killing. You not only have practice in all possible weapons, but also gets a magic trick with “Toll the Dead”, which is almost as powerful as the scary beam of the witch champion.

At the same time, the magic spell bard can be seen in the video. Even if bards themselves are the best class in the game and absolute all -rounders, the school of magic spell is unfortunately the prime example of: “Can everything, but nothing right.”

You rely on group control and support, which is very useful in theory, but can be adopted much better by other classes in practice. In addition, with the school of swords and the school of knowledge, you waste two of the strongest specializations in the game if you take a magic spell instead.

In addition, the video with the giant barbarians shows another top selection and with the daredevil villain you can look forward to another top sub-class in the upcoming videos.
