    Baldur’s Gate 3: Save owl bear cub and find friend for life

    How to find the owl bear cub in the nest: You first meet the Owl Bear Cub in Baldur’s Gate 3 with its mother in the Owl Bear Nest. The Speak to Animals spell (or potion) helps with most Owlbear Cub checks.

  • Go to these coordinates, west of the Emerald Grove: X: 86, Y: 448
  • Slip into the cave to the Owlbear’s Nest
  • Keep Owbear Cub alive
  • Spare or kill the Mother Owbear
  • Once you have killed the mother, then interact with the cub

    • There is also a gilded chest in the Owlbear’s Nest that you can open.

    How to save the owlbear cub from the goblin camp: If you have left the owl bear cub alive in the nest, you will find it again in the goblin camp. If you interact with the owlbear cub there, it will lead to a discussion with the NPC “Krolla”.
