Baldur’s Gate 3 multi-class feature

Baldurs Gate 3 level cap increased to 12

Larian Studios shared new details of the game in the BG3 live broadcast. The most important among this information is the multi-class feature brought to the characters.

It’s not long before Baldur’s Gate 3 debuts. However, developer Larian Studios seems determined to take the game even further and is constantly pushing Baldur’s Gate 3 one step further with new add-ons. The reputation system shared in the company’s latest update seems to completely affect our progress in the game.

Baldur’s Gate 3 multi-class feature

Speaking live yesterday, Larian’s Nick Pechenin said, “We wanted to prevent players from having to restart the whole game, because it’s such a heavy narrative experience. There’s a character you can encounter, and that will allow you to reset your class and reinvest all levels.” made a statement.

According to the statements made during the broadcast, the multi-class support in Baldur’s Gate 3 will allow players to mix classes as they wish. Multi-class characters can be extremely powerful or vice versa.

Pechenin said that there are “many wonderful combinations in the multi-class” and that they wanted some combinations that could not be set up correctly yet to be experienced by the players.

Baldur’s Gate 3, which is currently in early access, will be released for PC on August 3.

The following section is taken from the press release.

Panel From Hell notes

Panel From Hell is Larian Studios’ last chaotic live update show before Baldur’s Gate 3 launches on August 3. Broadcast live from a medieval monastery and featuring the entire camp of a community theater production, the final Panel From Hell delves into everything from a customizable serial killer hero to the importance of character identity and his ability to give a dinosaur wild form.

The Dark urge

Over the past three weeks, Larian has left a string of clues that led to the reveal of the final playable Origin character in the community-focused murder mystery Blood in Baldur’s Gate. As the community finally gets killed themselves, their final waking moments have revealed their ruthless killer and his mysterious companion: Dark Urge, their killer, an imposing dragon-born with a default alabaster skin, eyes glowing with the piercing gaze of a predatory beast.

Unlike Baldur’s Gate 3’s other playable heroes (Origins), Dark Urge is a fully customizable character. Its class, appearance, type and gender are entirely up to you – after all, evil can be found in everyone, regardless of how they look.

Stepping into the role of Dark Urge, you’ll start Baldur’s Gate 3 with your memory lost after an unfortunate encounter between a parasitic tadpole and your brain. All that’s left now is an insatiable urge—an urge that manifests itself in your subconscious, your deepest thoughts, and your dialogue choices.

Followers of Blood in Baldur’s Gate are already familiar with Dark Urge’s simple yet effective way of working: brutally and indiscriminately killing. Playing as the Dark Impulse, driven to commit some of the most horrific acts of violence you’ll ever encounter in the game, means either indulging in your most vicious impulses or trying to resist them.

Dark Urge is directed by Sceleritas Fel, voiced by Brian Bowles (the narrator in Divinity: Original Sin 2). Fel is a vile and loyal servant who lives only to see the Dark Urge return to his bloodstained righteous path. His encouraging words fuel your impulses like a poison in your mind – but this poison tastes like honey, if you will.

Despite your urges as the Dark Impulse, you are still a member of an adventure group embarking on a grueling journey to Baldur’s Gate. Your party will do its best to be by your side, despite your urges. You can still build relationships and romances for your closest party members – but how these manifest in comparison to others is a story only you can tell.

Orin The Red

After the earlier appearance of Lord Enver Gortash (Jason Isaacs) and General Ketheric Thorm (JK Simmons), two of Baldur’s Gate 3’s main foes, today’s stream sees the emergence of the third and final: Orin the Red (Maggie Robertson), Baldur’s Gate A shape-shifting killer who aims to paint his city in blood.

You will meet Orin soon, but how and when you meet will depend on him.

Character Creation

Character identity is at the heart of Baldur’s Gate 3, and the character creator allows customization of everything from your hero’s appearance to their stats and history – whether your hero, villain, or Ed Sharran, a simple bard traveling the roads of Faerûn with his trusty lute. The character creator provides a lot of room for expression.

At launch, players will be able to try even more ways to create different, personalized characters:

  • New skin options such as freckles, vitiligo, scars
  • new tattoo designs
  • heterochromia
  • Lip makeup personalization
  • Accessories such as earrings and piercings
  • Horn color customization for tieflings

Adventurers don’t have to be thin or young – the addition of the age slider allows you to create an older hero, and strong body types allow for larger body sizes in all genders.

Romance

“Have you ever thought about the pleasures and delights of having sex with a savage Druid?” says lead author Adam Smith, “Because at Larian we thought about it and finally got to the side of giving people what they want: a tender, consensual romance with a man who has temporarily turned into a grizzly bear.”

Baldur’s Gate 3 offers ample opportunities for romance with the characters you will become close to, and no relationship follows the same formula. While emotional intimacy with a party member can gradually turn into a mutual physical desire, a relationship that started with passion one night after the Goblin massacre can also turn into something vulnerable and sweet when given proper care.
