Baldur’s Gate 3 is getting a feature tomorrow that players have been asking for since it was released

The makers of Baldur’s Gate 3 have announced Patch 3. It will be released on Friday, September 22nd, and will finally bring the Magic Mirror to your warehouses. This allows you to customize the appearance of your characters, but with limitations.

What is this feature?

You can customize this: Larian explains that with the new Magic Mirror in Camp you can change the appearance, voice and pronouns of a custom character (“Tav”).

But the body type and the people still remain fixed. We don’t know what’s behind the decision when it comes to body types. However, peoples have different abilities and sometimes even selection options in the game.

Origins, i.e. all prescribed characters like Karlach, Lae’zel and Co., cannot be changed at all.

Patch 3 will be so important that it had to be postponed

Patch 3 was originally supposed to be released on September 21st. However, the developers still had to carry out further tests and fix errors in the patch, which is why the patch will not be deployed until the following day.

Larian has already made the mistake of releasing a patch too early before. The result was that he had to be taken back. However, the players who had been playing in the meantime were no longer able to access their scores. That caused frustration.

Patch 3 is the first major update since its release on PS5. Accordingly, Larian probably wants to be more careful. However, further content is not yet known. We assume that performance problems or crashes on PS5 will be an issue.

By the way, some important people also made a mistake with the success of Baldur’s Gate 3 – including Larian himself:
