(Finance) – After investments of 60 million euros in the port of Corigliano Rossano, Baker Hughes decided to invest 26 million intended to strengthen the factory Vibo Valentiaalready active for more than 60 years in the energy sector. The announcement came directly from the President of the Region Roberto Eyed who met the president of Baker Hughes-Nuovo Pignone at the regional Citadel of Catanzaro, Paul Nuts. Also present at the meeting were the councilor for economic development, Rosario Varì, and the vice president of the company Paolo Ruggeri.
“Almost half of the investment initially planned, therefore, remains in our region. Specifically, the investments are functional to strengthening the role of center of excellence of the Vibo plant in the panorama of the global supply chain of Baker Hughes and also foresee the establishment of a hub for engineering research and development activities“, declared Occhiuto. “Our mission is to build an institutional context in Calabria favorable to attracting investments. I am very happy that leading companies such as Baker Hughes, as well as others, have found in our region the home of important investments”, he added.
