SVT Västmanland has previously reported on the explosion that occurred in an apartment building at Skiljebo in Västerås in early 2022.
The district court sentenced the 40-year-old man to prison for two years and two months. He himself was seriously injured in connection with the explosion, and with that in mind, the Court of Appeal reduced the sentence to one year and six months.
Explosion at Skiljebo Prison sentence too long
The man requested to serve the remaining two months of the sentence in handcuffs, but the administrative court recently refused, as it does not apply to prison sentences longer than six months.
