Rockstar Games has implemented a much-requested quality-of-life feature for GTA Online… and put it behind a paywall. Now fans of the franchise fear that with GTA 6, more and more features could end up behind a paywall.
What has Rockstar Games released? The “Bottom Dollar Bounties” update has been released for GTA Online, which makes you the leader of the “Bottom Dollar Bail Enforcement” bounty hunter group. You are tasked with tracking down targets, assisting LSPD Officer Vincent Effenburger on patrol, and opening a new bail bond office.
There are also some convenience features, some of which have long been on the wish lists of GTA Online fans.
The first trailer for GTA 6 has caused a huge response:
Particularly cool: Using the Vinewood Club smartphone app, you can “easily request vehicles, collect any outstanding income from businesses, and replenish ammunition.” Simply not having to manually visit each building to collect regular income saves a huge amount of time.
Particularly stupid: The app is only available to GTA+ members, who pay around eight euros for the optional subscription. Of course, there are also the well-known advantages such as additional in-game cash or bonus events.
“GTA 6 will be a shitshow with GTA+”
How does the community react? Many players are annoyed and pessimistic about the future of the GTA franchise.
What do you think? Do you also think that the situation surrounding GTA Online’s microtransactions will only get worse in the future? Do you use the optional GTA Online subscription?
