The US-based technology company Google is currently on the agenda with the Google Pixel 6 series smartphones. However, a penalty news about Google from Russia drew all the attention.
The lawsuit filed by the Russian Federal Information Technologies and Mass Media Supervision Agency against Google was heard in the Taganskiy Court in the capital, Moscow.
GOOGLE FINED
The court ruled that Google did not “systematically comply with the legislation” because it did not delete the content banned in Russia, and fined Google 7 billion 221 million rubles.
In the statement made by Google, it was stated that the court decision in question will be examined and the steps to be taken in the future will be determined.
Google was previously fined 37.5 million rubles for similar violations in Russia.
