Bad luck The French Federation forgot to announce the medal

The very fit French runner Azeddine Habz will not be able to run for the European Championship in Rome.

The EC athletics championships will be shown on channels from 7th to 12th. June. See the Finns, schedule and broadcast times of the games here.

A few days ago, the 1,500 meter runner who finished third in the Oslo Diamond League Azeddine Habz suffered a harsh fate when the French Sports Federation forgot to register him for the European Athletics Championships.

The registration period for the European Championship in Rome ended on Thursday. Even after that, the French Athletics Federation tried to get Habz involved, but the board of the European Athletics Federation was adamant about the matter, and a separate permit for the Games did not arise.

– I am really down because of the case. I prepared for six weeks only for the European Championships and that was the main goal of the season for me, Habz worried to the French channel RMC Sport.

Habz has run the ton vitos this season in a time of 3:30.80 and is second in European statistics, so he can chase a medal even at the Paris Olympics. Norway is at the top of the statistics Jakob Ingebrigtsen. Habz ran his record of 3:29.26 last year.

The French federation also forgot to enter a 10,000 meter runner for the European Championships by Simon Bédardfor whom the prestigious races would have been the first in his career at the age of 27.

The close and relatives of the long-distance runner had already booked the plane tickets and hotel accommodation to Rome, because the French federation had informed that Bédard is part of the European Championship team.

– They (the French federation) wanted to solve this without it becoming public, but they didn’t succeed, states a disappointed Bédard.

At least Bédard says he is considering legal action for moral and financial damage.

In total, the board of the European Athletics Federation gave the red light to fifteen athletes who aspired to the European Championships after the deadline.
