In the men’s field, the hierarchy in the field has changed with the return of Mathieu van der Poel, Wout van Aert and world champion Tom Pidcock. That trio missed the first World Cup competitions, allowing the Belgians Sweeck, Vanthourenhout and Iserbyt to compete for the prizes together with Woudenberger Lars van der Haar. Now that those three are participating again, Van der Haar finished fifth, more than two minutes behind winner Mathieu van der Poel.
