Bacteria in soft ice cream at Green Lund: Looking seriously at it

On two serving at Gröna Lund, the environmental management in Stockholm has found bacteria in soft ice cream and slush-ice.
The amusement park is now reviewing its routines around food hygiene.
– Although these two samples do not show a health risk, we seriously look at it, writes Annika Troselius, Head of Information for Parks and Resorts in a comment on TV4 News.

It was at the beginning of June that a sampling control was carried out at Gröna Lund. The inspectors found high levels of enterobacteria.

The bacteria found is a group of gut bacteria. Although it does not necessarily pose a direct health risk, they are considered a sign of lack of hygiene, according to the environmental management in the City of Stockholm.

– Food safety is extremely important to us. We work actively with both education and self -checks and have clear rules and routines for food hygiene, says Annika Troselius.

Has taken action

The park has now clarified its routines regarding food management.

– We have high demands on our food security. After the control, we have clarified our routines and we will continuously follow this up.

A follow -up control with sampling will be carried out by the environmental management.
