Back where he belongs Ron James performs in Chatham March

Acclaimed comedian Ron James is bringing his stand-up show to Chatham this month.

The award-winning Canadian will perform at the Chatham Capitol Theater March 25 as part of his Back Where I Belong tour.

“Marshalling a comedian’s eye for satire and a writer’s ear for language, Ron takes his audience on a breath-taking, non-stop roller coaster ride, cutting a wide swath through contemporary culture with a razor-sharp wit, uncompromising standard and unique, poetically honed delivery,” a news release stated.

James, who has performed in Chatham before, has been touring across Canada for over 20 years, though his career in comedy goes back to the 1980s when he joined Second City.

He starred in his own series, The Ron James Show, for five years and has released nine one-hour comedy specials.

After the start of the pandemic, James got to work on his first book, All Over the Map: Rambles and Ruminations from the Canadian Road, which was released September 2021.

The event begins at 7:30 pm Tickets are $68.50 plus a handling fee and can be purchased at www.cktickets.com.
