A deadly tornado in Clarksville sucked up the parents’ trailer and the bassinet of four-month-old Lord.

He was found alive with scrapes and bruises in a fallen tree.

– He held on to the basket the whole time while spinning around, the mother adds local media.

The roof of the trailer was ripped open by the force of the tornado, picking up the basket with Lord in it, according to 22-year-old mother Sydney Moore.

– The tip of the tornado picked up the basket. He was the first thing that the tornado sucked up, she tells Fox.

“Absolutely sure he was dead”

Lord’s father threw himself over the basket to protect Lord, but he too ended up in the eye of the storm and was pulled into the tornado.

– He held on to Lord’s basket the whole time and they went around in circles before being thrown away, says Moore.

In all the commotion, Sydney grabbed Lord’s big brother, one-year-old Princeton.

– Just as I threw myself over him, the walls collapsed. I was collapsing and couldn’t breathe.

After the tornado moved away, Sydney and Lord’s father – with a broken arm and shoulder – began to search for him. In the rainy weather, they found him alive in what she describes as looking like a “tree cradle”.

– I was absolutely sure that he was dead and that we wouldn’t find him. But he is here and it is thanks to God, says Sydney Moore.
