Azimut acquires Diaman Partners stake to accelerate on crypto assets

(Finance) – Azimutha group active in managed savings and included in the FTSE MIB, has acquired a 20% stake in Diaman Partners, asset manager focused on quantitative strategies and crypto assets, which operates under the supervision of the Malta Financial Service Authority (MFSA). The goal is to continue the development of innovative projects in the world of crypto assets and decentralized finance in general.

Founded in 2002 by Daniele Bernardi, Diaman is focused on the development of mathematical-statistical models for portfolio management. It launched in January 2020 an alternative fund under Maltese law specializing in quantitatively managed crypto assets, allowing institutional investors to take exposure to this emerging sector.

The partnership accompanies the choice of Azimut Investments, the management company of the Azimut Group in Luxembourg, of appoint Diaman Partners managing director of AZ RAIF II Digital Assetsan open-ended alternative investment fund under Luxembourg law whose main objective is to offer indirect exposure to the cryptocurrency market by investing in a diversified basket of Exchange Traded Products through active management deriving from quantitative risk control.
