The law requires schools to teach gender-awareness, but it still even arouses opposition
Since 2016, the curriculum has required that basic education should increase knowledge and understanding of gender diversity. According to the human rights organization Seta, however, this is currently not being implemented in many schools – at least not well enough. Russian weapons contain a lot of Western technology
The British Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) investigated how much and what kind of Western technology is in the weapons used by the Russians. The sanctions have been circumvented, and some of the components are such that they can be used for civilian and military purposes.
The BBC revealed the mistreatment of disabled people in Ukrainian institutions
The British broadcasting company BBC visited Ukrainian care facilities for disabled people in the summer and found abuse and neglect. The war has worsened the situation of the disabled and nursing homes. However, according to the BBC, the problems are not new, but have their roots in the Soviet-era institutional system. Chairman of the Abilis Foundation Amu Urhonen says that wars and crises often bring out structural problems.
The hot weather continues
On Tuesday, the hot air will reach all the way to Lapland and the temperature will rise to freezing temperatures almost all over the country. In the south, readings of up to 30 degrees are measured. The weather is mostly cloudy and sunny, but there are some thunderstorms in the west.
