Hamina’s walrus gathers strength on the beach
The walrus that was spotted in Hamina on Thursday returned to the beach on Friday afternoon, although at one point it already looked like it was going to swim towards the shore. At the end of Friday evening, the walrus came up to the beach, and now it has been said that it is mostly sleeping and gathering its strength. Veterinarians estimate that the walrus is probably exhausted and poorly nourished.
The police remind that people should leave the walrus alone.
