The last head of the Soviet Union Mikhail Gorbachev has died in Moscow late on Tuesday at the age of 91.

Gorbachev was the last leader of the Soviet Union. He is known for the reforms that led to the collapse of the communist system and the détente policy that helped end the Cold War between the great powers.

Several support packages are expected from the government

Government ministers will meet in the morning to discuss the state’s income and expenditure for next year. There will be at least three different support packages due to the energy crisis, rising prices and the war in Ukraine.
