Salla, Finland’s 41st National Park, will open today next to Sallatunturi. The last time a new national park was opened in Finland was in 2017 in Hossa, Suomussalmi. Salla National Park is an area of about 100 square kilometers, characterized by mountain and danger landscapes, gorges, old forests and swamps.
