Finnish basketball star Awak Kuier has signed an extension contract with Italian champion Reyer Venezia.
Arriving in Reyer Venezia in the summer of 2022 Awak Kuier will continue in the familiar basketball club for at least the next season.
The Finnish center played a giant role when Venezia celebrated the Italian women’s basketball championship in the spring.
Kuier, 22, was named Finals MVP after averaging 18.7 points, 7.3 rebounds, 2 assists in three Finals games against Schio.
Reyer Venezia also reached the final of the Italian cup last season and advanced to the semi-finals of the Eurocup.
Kuier is Venezia’s eighth contracted player next season. In the regular season, he averaged 14 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists and 1.4 blocks per game.
