Awak Kuier continued her good performances in the Euroleague, the European first division of women’s basketball, on Wednesday.
Awak Kuier bagged his personal points record in the women’s basketball Euroleague, but even that did not help the Italian Reyer Venezia, represented by the Finnish center, who lost in Group F to Fenerbahce, who went from victory to victory 71–79.
Kuier had 24 points, 12 rebounds and three assists. The 23-year-old and 196-centimeter Finnish star scored the best points of the match, grabbed the most rebounds and marked the top score of the game in the power statistics.
Venezia was too much for Kuieri and 17 points in the finals Matilde Villan in reserve. No one else was able to score double-digit points from the home team. Kuieri’s former Euroleague point record was 21 points.
Fenerbahce’s hero duo is a Belgian Emma Meesseman 21/8/5s and French Gabby Williams 20/7/3s.
The Turkish club can be called Europe’s number one women’s club, as it has won the previous two league championships, and Fenerbahce has not lost a single game this season.
Reyer Venezia is on a three-match losing streak, taking into account all series, and it has finished fifth in Group F (3 wins – 5 losses), while the top four reach the playoffs.
