Awak Kuier was in high spirits in their first match in the women’s basketball Euroleague. The Italian Reyer Venezia represented by Kuier claimed an 80–59 away victory over the Hungarian Uni Gyor.
Kuier played just under half an hour in the match, scored 14 points and got six rebounds. Venezia’s best basket maker was Lorela Cubajwho sunk 15 points.
The other teams in the initial group of four teams are Valencia (Spain) and USK Praha (Czech Republic). The Euroleague is the highest competition for club teams in Europe.
