How does the sneak ban work?
During the evening rush hour, a lot of cut-through traffic passes from the A2 (via Vianen and Lexmond) to the A27. To combat this, as of today there will be no entry signs in several places. Cut-through traffic is no longer allowed to pass through these areas between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
Cameras scan all license plates. Anyone who drives past the camera without an exemption will receive a fine of 120 euros. The goal? To ensure that motorists use the highway.
