Avatar 2 is the sci fi highlight of the year and

13 years after Part 1, Avatar 2: The Way of Water is finally coming to cinemas. The start is only 3 weeks away. Like its predecessor Pandora, which is still the most successful film in history, the sequel relies primarily on visual spectacle.

This is what the previous promo material suggests and the new one, in Avatar 2 trailer released last night confirms the previous visually stunning impression. However, director James Cameron recently emphasized the importance of story, emotions and characters for his film. Going to the cinema will be worth it either way. Avatar 2: The Way of Water – New Trailer (English)

Indeed the trailer reveals a bit more about the plot of Avatar 2. Apparently Neytiri and Jake had to flee their homeland together with their family and are now seeking protection from the Metkayina. What is Avatar 2 about?

Avatar 2 takes place 13 years after the events of Pandora. The main characters Jake and Neytiri started a family and do everything to stay together. Eventually, however, they are forced to leave their homeland when the invaders return from Earth. Along the way, they discover other areas of Pandora and encounter Kate Winslet’s character, Ronal, who leads the Metkayina tribe. This settled on the surface of the ocean on Pandora.

When does Avatar 2 start in German cinemas?
