James Cameron can understand Thanos plan

According to GeekTyrant, the filmmaker spoke about it in a TIME interview his opinion on Thanos’ plan in the MCU. The director can understand the intention of the antagonist very well:

I can identify with Thanos. I thought he had a pretty useful answer. The problem is that no one agrees to be the half that has to go.

Cameron also gets involved a lot in his Avatar films Environmental issues and the future of humanity apart. That he deals with and can even identify with Thanos’ plan about the drastic fate of the population is therefore not exactly surprising.
