Many Swedes are in the mountains to celebrate Easter. But the adventurous should watch out – there is a significant avalanche danger in four mountain areas, according to the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency’s website Avalanche Forecasts.
Unstable snow means that western Vindelfjällen, southern Laplandfjällen, southern Jämtlandsfjällen and western Härjedalsfjällen are judged to have significant avalanche danger with dangerous conditions. This means a third on the five-point risk scale.
The warnings are valid until 6pm on Good Friday.
