(Finance) – The market for cars used in the first 10 months of 2022 (with data awaiting consolidation) records a drop of 10% with 3,743,922 transfers of ownership compared to 4,159,440 in the same period of 2021. transfers net they lose 12.1%, while minivoltures are reduced by 7%.
In the first 10 months the leadership of the dieselwith 48.7% of the preferences (-2.0 pp), followed by gas with a share of 40.3%, slightly recovering on the same period of 2021. Il LPG covers the third place (4.4% of the total) and the hybrids the fourth with a share in
growth at 3.4%. The methane stops at 2.2%, while net transfers of pure electric cars (BEV) rise to 0.6% and le plugins at 0.4%.
The share of exchanges between private individuals continues to accelerate, reaching 60% of all transfer of ownership (earning 12.4 points), due to the lower availability of cars in the sales networks. Those from operator to end customer drop to 36.5%. Those give in slightly
from rental (0.6% overall) and those from Km0 lose 1.3 points (at 2.9%). The analysis by region shows a generalized decline for all Italian regions and confirms the share of transfers of ownership held in the first 10 months of 2022 by the first three regions (Lombardy, Lazio and Campania) at 34.7%. The decrease over the same period of 2021 is slightly more contained for Lombardy, thanks to transfers between private individuals and for Trentino Alto Adige, for the exchange of used cars from operators.
The net transfers of cars with over 10 years of experience gain 4.5 points, at a 51.6% share seniority. The share of cars from 6 to 10 years is stable at 15%, a further recovery concerns that of cars from 4 to 6 years (12.1%). The share of fresher cars is down, especially those aged 1 to 2 years (to 3.5%), due to the reduction of Km0.
