Autism Day 2022 why wear blue on April 2

World Autism Awareness Day takes place on Saturday, April 2, 2022. To support all autistic people and those around them, we are encouraged to wear blue. Why and what does this symbol mean? Date, poster, schedule of actions… Lighting on this day of solidarity.

In France, the High Authority of Health estimate that there would be approximately 100,000 people under 20 and near 600,000 adults having a autism spectrum disorder (ASD). These problems would also concern 7 500 births every year. The World Awareness Day to autism takes place every year on April 2. This is an initiative launched in 2007 by the United Nations, which helps support this cause, by contributing to changing attitudes about stereotypes and received ideas about autism, and by promoting better inclusion of people with ASD in our society. On this occasion, each of us is invited to wear bluethe symbolic color of autism, during all Saturday April 2, 2022. Concretely, how to show your support? What are the actions and events in France?
