Powerful and acrobatic, Australian cyclist Grace Brown became Olympic time trial champion on Saturday July 27 on the Pont Alexandre III in Paris by winning on a course transformed into an ice rink by the rain. It is the first Olympic title for the 32-year-old Australian who beat by more than a minute and a half the British Anna Henderson and the American Chloe Dygert, reigning world champion and one of the many riders to fall. The French Juliette Labous took fourth place, only nine seconds from the podium, while her compatriot Audrey Cordon-Ragot finished ninth.
