The campaign is going viral on social media. It was launched by the Queensland State Health Department in Australia and advocates for the normalization of “pooping at work.” Yes, you read that right! Here’s why Australian health officials want to popularize the topic.

The problem is rather embarrassing but it is important to talk about it. And for that, there is nothing better than relying on humor. This is the choice made by the Queensland State Department of Health, to talk about pooping in the workplace.

A campaign broadcast on social networks, to talk about it with humor

The campaign, which has already been widely praised, features a psychedelic Instagram video featuring dolphins, rainbows and unicorns reminding us that it’s “normal to poop at work.” On Facebook, the post is more sober and uses a simple message (with the words “sent from my iPhone” and accompanied by evocative emojis): “Pooping at work. Talk about it.”

Don’t delay your needs by “ignoring your poop”

Despite its light-hearted and humorous nature, the message that the Australian health authorities are trying to convey is indeed serious. As are the problems that can result from holding in a bowel movement at work.

Consistently ignoring your need to have a bowel movement can cause them to get stuck in your colon, causing hemorrhoids and other serious problems. So, it is better to let it out than to hold it in.” highlights the campaign.

The solution: visualize a celebrity in the toilet!

Intended to be very practical, the Queensland Health campaign continues with some advice which should convince the most undecided. To poop in public toilets without stress”the campaign simply reminds us that “everyone poops”.

She therefore invites everyone to imagine a celebrity (Taylor Swift, for example) in the toilet. More practically, she also recommends bringing “a little scented spray in the toilet with you” to leave a scent of roses after your visit. Without forgetting, of course, to wash your hands well!
