Audi, Q6 E-tronIt is slowly introducing it to the whole world. Our news today is one of the most important – Q6 E-tronOur first look at ‘s hi-tech interior.
The Q6 E-tron will sit between the Q4 E-tron and the Q8 E-tron and will be the first E-tron built on the PPE (Premium Platform Electric) platform and E3 architecture co-developed with Porsche.
The interior is as high-quality and high-tech as you would expect from an Audi. At the front is the “digital stage”, which is a combination of screens for both driver and passenger. It would not be a lie if we say that this has become the abandonment of electric cars.
The driver has an MMI panoramic display covering two OLED panels – the 11.9-inch Audi virtual cockpit and the 14.5-inch MMI touchscreen in the center.
The front passenger has a separate 10.9-inch screen placed under the corner of the center display for privacy. This means that it does not distract the driver and is angled towards the passenger.
The Q6 E-tron can also be configured with an AR (Augmented Reality) head-up display that projects information such as speed, traffic signs and navigation to the driver on an inclined image plane.
When designing your vehicle, you can choose from interior materials such as Nappa leather with Diamond stitching, birch veneer and brushed aluminum, as well as sustainable materials such as Dinamica microfibre, Elastic Melange fabric and Econyl.
Thanks to the PPE platform, there is more room for people and their belongings. There’s no center tunnel, which gives more legroom at the rear. There are storage compartments around the cabin. The center console features two cup holders, a wireless charging tray and two charging ports.
The trunk has 526 liters of space, which can increase to 1,529 liters with the rear seats folded down.
Finally, Audi’s new self-learning voice assistant “Hey Audi” may be called. (Sounds familiar? – Hey Siri..) The assistant will be displayed as a dynamic avatar on the instrument cluster and augmented reality head-up display.
