According to information obtained from local sources, an attempt was made to attack the Koniko Gas Facility base in Deir ez-Zor province, where US forces are deployed, with kamikaze UAVs of unknown origin at night.
US forces’ air defense systems destroyed UAVs in the air before they reached their targets. The USA has not yet made a statement regarding the attack.
KAMİKAZE UAVS ARE TARGETED
US army bases in Hasakah and Derrizoor have been frequently targeted with rockets and kamikaze UAVs of unknown origin since the beginning of the year.
On January 8, 2023, an attempt was made to attack the base in the Koniko gas field in Deir ez-Zor with a rocket, using a kamikaze UAV of unknown origin, against the Harab Cir base where US forces were deployed in Hasakah province.
The Deir ez-Zor lands east of the Euphrates River are under the occupation of the US-backed terrorist organization PKK/YPG, while the city center and other rural areas are under the control of the Bashar Assad regime and Iranian-backed groups. (AA)
