From Gabriel Attal to Stanislas Guérini, including Stéphane Séjourné and Gérald Darmanin, what are the results of the ministers in Macron’s government in this second round of the 2024 legislative elections?
Several ministers were in the running this Sunday for the second round of the legislative elections, starting with Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, candidate for re-election in the 10th constituency of Hauts de Seine. A successful bet for the former Minister of National Education who won this election but who nevertheless announced his upcoming resignation after the announcement of the national results which see the Ensemble coalition not having a majority and coming in second place, behind the New Popular Front.
While her predecessor at Matignon, Elisabeth Borne, also won re-election in the 6th constituency of Calvados, the evening was much more difficult for the former Minister of Health Olivier Véran, who was defeated in the 1st constituency of Isère. This was one of the big hiccups of the evening for the Ensemble coalition, while Aurore Bergé was re-elected in Yvelines, as was Gérald Darmanin in the 10th constituency of the North.
