Israel promises revenge after attack on the Golan Heights • 30 dead in Israeli attack
At least 30, including several children, died when Israel launched an airstrike on a school in Gaza on Saturday.
Furthermore, at least eleven have been killed in what are said to be rocket attacks from Hezbollah against the Golan Heights.
– We are approaching a full-scale war with Hezbollah and Lebanon, Israel’s Foreign Minister Israel Katz told Axios.
The war between Israel and Hamas continues to claim large amounts of human life.
Israel’s military IDF says Saturday’s attack on a school building in Gaza was carried out because Hamas had the building as a hideout, which Hamas itself denies.
At least 30 people died, of which seven were women and seven were children, writes the news agency AP whose dispatched reporter reports on a dead infant and other covered dead bodies.
Hit the soccer field
Later in the day, at least eleven people were killed in a rocket attack on the Israeli-annexed Golan Heights.
19 are said to have been injured, several of them seriously, and the dead are said to have been between 10 and 20 years old, Israeli Haaretz reports.
Reuters reports that the rockets hit a soccer field, among other things.
Lebanese Hezbollah is said to have been behind the attack, which the militia group itself denies.
Vows revenge
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz commented on the attack to Axios:
– Hezbollah’s attack crossed all borders, and we will respond. We are approaching a full-scale war against Hezbollah and Lebanon.
– We will suffer, but in the end Nasrallah and Hezbollah will be destroyed and Lebanon will be damaged, and we will restore peace and security to the people of the north.
