(Finance) – Atosa French IT services company, announced that is studying a separation into two separate publicly traded companies: SpinCo (Evidian) would bring together Atos’ Digital and Big Data and Security (BDS) business lines, which generated a combined turnover of 4.9 billion euros in 2021. TFCo (Atos) would be composed of Atos’ Tech Foundations business line, which in 2021 generated revenues of 5.4 billion euros. Two Deputy CEOs have been appointed to carry out this operation.
In particular, Nourdine Bihmane is appointed Deputy CEO responsible for Tech Foundations, a company focused on infrastructure services, digital work environment and professional services. Philippe Oliva is appointed Deputy CEO responsible for the Digital / BDS perimeter, a company specializing in the digital transformation, big data and IT security markets.
“This planned separation leads to a reorganization of the Atos group resulting in […] redefinition of the mission of the CEO of Atos “, reads a note from the French group. Taking note of this evolution, CEO Rodolphe Belmer felt “he has no choice but to resign”. The resignation of Belmer, who had been in charge since the beginning of the year, will take effect at the latest on 30 September 2022.
According to the French media, the basis of Belmer’s farewell would actually be clash with the Board of Directors. The main point of contention between Belmer and the council, chaired by Bertrand Meunier, would be on the future ofcyber security unitflagship of the company.
