Jakob Ingebrigtsen was the reigning champion, but did not even manage to get on the podium in the 1,500 meters.

He then won his heat and advanced to the final, but he ran into unexpected trouble despite that.
This when a TV photographer ended up in the middle of the track in a curve – which meant that, among other things, Ingebrigtsen had to take a turn past him. But he was clearly disturbed, turned and gestured at the photographer.
But he still managed to get to the front and cross the finish line first of all, in a time of 13.51.59.
– It is clear that it devastates too many, definitely. It’s amateurish. That should not be possible in an Olympics, he added after the race NRK.
From Dagbladet he asked if he said anything to the cameraman.
– I said “Is it possible?” and shook his head.
