Athletics: Julia Henriksson with a super time in Uddevalla – the record is blown due to too strong a wind

Julia Henriksson was superior in the ladies’ 100-meter race. She finished with a time of 11.08 – which would be classed as a new record if it weren’t for the strong wind (3.1m/s).

– There is a bit too strong tailwind. It won’t be a Swedish record, says SVT Sports commentator Jacob Hård.

The maximum allowable tailwind for records is set at 2.0 meters per second.

Afterwards, the 23-year-old is praised by expert Christian Olsson.

– What a race she runs! She just flies away from the others, he says.

Was close to the record in May

Henriksson is also satisfied with his performance.

– It feels great. I am so happy to win today and finish with such a good time, she says.

Second in the race was Elvira Tanderud with a time of 11.47.

In May, Henriksson was three hundredths from beating Linda Haglund’s 44-year-old record of 11.16.
