18.26 in the second round placed her in temporary third, but then she was passed several times again.
Double Swedish in the final
In the end, Roos had to settle for sixth place, 29 centimeters from the bronze. The gold went to the Dutch Jessica Schilder in 18.77 and the silver to her compatriot Jorinde Van Klinken. The bronze went to Yemisi Ogunleye, the big sensation of the indoor season.
– It has been very mixed lately, with both good and bad shocks. I need to become more stable. Of course disappointed, says Roos.
Roos hit 18.70 during the morning’s shot put, which would have been enough for a silver medal in the final.
The second Swede in the ball final, Sara Lennman, continues to show that she has found a new level in the push and finished eighth in 18.16.
– Very pleased with my performance. I am proud of myself, says Lennman.
