At this fishing competition in Abcoude no one is fishing

The foundation has been around since 1966, when the winner of a KRO competition donated his cash prize of 1000 guilders. The winner was an enthusiastic fisherman, says Harry. “He had caught a 1.20 meter pike, I remember that.” He wanted a fishing center for people with disabilities, because there is often no safe place for it. This place was created on the water of Fort Abcoude, where fifteen jetties with fences have been constructed between the greenery.
